Special Festival
Hi, My name is Ben Waters, I am a musician born in Weymouth Dorset. I have been touring for over 30 years,since I gave up college to go on tour with Shakin Stevens. I have always been immensely proud of the Dorset music scene, in the summer in Weymouth alone there are over 100 gigs each week, its like the New Orleans of the UK and the standard of musicianship is impeccable!! The gigs are usually free entry and unlike New Orleans or Memphis there is no tip Jar, the musicians are there because they love it and that's why they are so good. A lot of these musicians are totally reliant on the money that they earn doing 6 or 7 gigs a week. Their income as has my own has been decimated, they have lost a huge amount of work and have had very little or no help from the government. I felt compelled to do something about this! I decided to run a festival celebrating our brilliant local musicians and rather than getting expensive well know acts in to headline each night (which would costs a fortune) I decided to feature all local musicians, after all they can hold there own against anyone and they need help, if you go to other local festivals who have very famous acts this won't help the people who really need it, its the equivelant of shopping locally. We are going to give each and every musician half there money in the next couple of months and the other half just before they play helping them financially and mentally through this pandemic. The festival will meet all COVID guidelines and be socially distanced and kept to groups of 6 just in case there isn't any break through so it will be safe to attend, if for any reason the festival can't go ahead, we can't give refunds as we will have paid the musicians, we will just re schedule for 2022

Full price tickets will be £200, BUT in a bid to create cash flow and get these musicians earning the first 100 people can have tickets at £150

VIP TICKETS
Vip tickets are £300 to include all of the above, but also have access to the VIP lounge with relaxation area, back stage passes, free cocktail bar and late night bar after the rest of the festival has closed
